After the release of Zendaya’s statue, Madame Tussauds London has faced backlash. Even though the actress has since been immortalized in wax, fans are not happy about it. Daya has captured the hearts of people around the world with her phenomenal performance in Spider-Man: No Way Home and the HBO series Euphoria.
After a busy few months, she has been spending time with her boyfriend Tom Holland, who recently bought a lavish mansion in London, which cost the Spider-Man couple a whopping $3 million.
Last week, the wax museum unveiled Zendaya’s statue, inspired by the actress’s look on the To The Rescue! Gala in 2017. She was even sculpted using measurements and references she took with the attraction’s artist in 2015. While it was a great tribute to her, fans claimed that Madame Tussauds London’s wax figure looked nothing like her at all and bears similarities to Kylie Jenner.

Now Madame Tussauds London has responded to the backlash according to TMZ and has stuck to their decision by claiming the statue is correct. “Our talented artists created our new Zendaya figure using measurements and references taken during her 2015 session… We understand that when fans are incredibly passionate, they can feel different until they’ve had a chance to see it.” up close,” the statement said.
The wax museum has faced a lot of resistance because of how its statues of celebrities look, including those of Beyonce, Nicki Minaj, Justin Timberlake, Selena Gomez, Jennifer Lopez and many more.
While fans think Zendaya’s statue doesn’t look like her, being honored with a wax figure at Madame Tussauds London, which has been running for over 200 years, is a big deal. Hollywood, Bollywood and other actors were part of the attractions, as well as many other political figures.
