Daniel Sloss is a famous Scottish comedian. He is also an actor and writer. Sloss is famous for his 2-hour special on Netflix which is now streaming in 190 countries in 26 languages. Daniel made his debut at the age of 19, making him the youngest comedian to perform solo in London. The comedian has also made multiple appearances on famous TV shows like Conan. He also appeared on The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson. Debuting at an early age, he also signed a DVD deal with BBC Worldwide’s 2Entertain label when he was 20 years old.

Sloss’ 2-hour Netflix special has fans re-evaluating their own relationships. Many couples broke up and there were over 300 divorces after the couples watched his special. But, surprisingly, he proposed to his longtime girlfriend, Kara, on February 4. Fans were shocked by his gesture. To this, Daniel replied that if someone has been together throughout the pandemic and survived their relationship, they should propose. He also said the first 18 months of their relationship were quite busy and they spent two months together before covid hit. Daniel said one of the biggest tests for your relationship is spending every hour of life together in the same house.

Sloss proposed to his girlfriend in the rain. He said if he waited for a non-rainy day in Scotland he could never propose. Therefore, he knelt down on a rainy day. Daniel remembers it being such a hilarious incident. He got down on his knees in a puddle and Kara thought he was tying his shoelace so she shrugged. Kara didn’t say yes but she took the ring from his hand. The wedding will not take place until 2023 as Daniel wants as many of his international friends as possible to come to Scotland. He also has his shows lined up one after another.

Youth and career

Daniel Sloss was born in Kingston upon Thames. He moved with his family to Fife in Scotland when he was just four years old. Sloss went to East Wemyss Primary School and then to Waid Academy Secondary School in Anstruther. The comedian was offered a place at the University of Dundee to study history, but decided to take a year off to see if he could pursue acting as a full-time career. he declined the offer after the 2008 Edinburgh Fringe Festival. When he was sixteen, the comedian’s mother met comedian Frankie Boyle. She mentioned her son. Boyle offered Daniel work experience by writing a small amount of material for him in two BBC series. It was his first break and he credits his mother and Boyle for his initial success.

TV career

Daniel’s first Edinburgh Festival Fringe took place in August 2008. It was a huge success for the comedian. He shared a show with fellow comedian Davey. At just seventeen, Daniel became one of Britain’s youngest finalists. In October, Daniel took this show to London at the Soho Theatre. He was 19 and became the youngest comedian to perform a solo season at the venue as well as London’s West End.

In January 2011, Daniel starred in Jason Manford’s Comedy Rocks on ITV1. In March 2011, Sloss took part in the BBC’s Comic Relief marathon online show with David Walliams. It was a 24-hour panel of people. The comedian made his American television debut when he was seen in Conan. After his success in Conan, he appeared 8 more times on the show. Additionally, Sloss signed a talent deal with Conan O’Brien’s production company. He continued to produce his own shows. The comedian was also seen on The Pete Holmes Show.
