NFT developer Dapper Labs launched the UFC Strike nonfungible token (NFT) marketplace on February 18, contributing to a 50% increase in NFT sales on the Flow blockchain over the past 24 hours.
Dapper Labs is the company behind NBA Top Shot, CryptoKitties and the Flow blockchain.
UFC Strike, another of the company’s products, is a collection of NFTs based on fighters and moments from the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC). Now fans can trade their NFTs on the UFC Strike Marketplace dedicated to the collection.

The new launch has helped Flow climb to third place among blockchains by NFT sales volume, according to CryptoSlam. At the time of writing, Flow is lagging behind Ethereum and Ronin with sales volume of $2.1 million in the last 24 hours. This is a 50% increase since the same time yesterday.
Also contributing to the sudden surge in sales volume on Flow is the new NBA All-Star VIP Pass NFT Collection launched February 17 via NBA Top Shot. Each of the 30 NFTs in this collection gives holders access to the following five all-star games.
Ghostly NFTs from Crypt TV
Metaverse content curator Metaversal has partnered with monster story producers Crypt TV to release non-fungible tokens (NFT) based on characters from the Monster Universe intellectual property (IP).
Monster Fight Club is the name of the new 10,000 NFT collection. The jump into the NFT space will help transform Crypt TV into a Web3 company “that fully embraces NFTs as the future of creating and owning IP,” according to the Feb. 17 announcement.
Collectors can get up to 10 unique Monster Fight Club NFTs from a single wallet. Titles in the collection include The Birch, Brute, Cakeman, Fluffy, Harclaw, Look-See, Miss Annity, Mordeo, The Thing and Walter. The sales days are on 9, 16 and 23 March.
Holders can assign their NFT as a profile picture or monster avatar to use in the Metaverse.
An NFT that guarantees free travel for life
A new initiative from travel startup Travel Tribe is issuing 50 proof of presence protocol (POAP) NFTs to people who book trips to Southeast Asia through their service.
The POAP grants holders free annual travel to Thailand, Bali and Cambodia. Through this effort, Travel Tribe hopes to boost sales as the world begins to reopen to Covid restrictions.
Travelers can also rest assured that customer revenues support the growth of the local industry. The Travel Tribe founder told Cointelegraph today: “Our trips support the local community by ensuring that local guides are deployed and local businesses in the supply chain are supported with regular audits and quality checks.”
The artistic process as NFT collection
Famed Hollywood photographer Frederic Auerbach has begun auctioning off his Master Series of NFTs that capture images of Zendaya, Benedict Cumberbatch, Mike Tyson, Sharon Stone and Natalie Portman.
Each star’s items in the collection are sold as a set of NFTs. The sets include a high-resolution digital photo NFT of a star, a dynamic NFT with various edits to the image, a high-resolution signed print of the main photo, and a 1/1 video NFT of the behind-the-scenes interview featuring the creative Auerbach’s approach is described. of each shoot is described in detail.
