Tristen Ikaika Rings – Shark Tank Blog

Tristen Ikaika RingsTristen Ikaika Rings are the brainchild of Tristen Amal Ikaikamaikai’ikaneokalani Persons. He started making them when he was 12. When he started the company in 2017, he amassed an almost cult-like following on social media. He started on Instagram by taking pictures of his travels around the world. Now that he travels, he searches for the raw materials for his rings: spoons (and sometimes forks). Each ring is unique and it only sells a certain amount at a time, creating scarcity.

His fans are eagerly awaiting Tristen’s drops. He announces on Instagram when he will be releasing a new set of rings and his fans are literally parking by their computers, waiting for the next sale. This rabid fanbase called him the ‘King of Rings’. He also makes and sells bracelets and sweatshirts. The best part of his success is that he doesn’t spend any money on marketing, all his “advertising” is done on Instagram through his followers.

The rings are not the stuff you would find at Tiffany’s. They are in the $50-$75 range, so almost anyone can afford them. Many people collect them like baseball cards. Before he was the Ring King, he had a sizable following on Instagram and was known for being more of a travel influencer. Since he made the rings just for himself at first, he often wore them in his Instagram posts to “improve his style.” People started asking for them, so he started selling them. Little did he know at the time that he had become ‘ring royalty’. He throws Tristen Ikaika Rings into the Shark Tank in episode 1305. Will the Sharks wear these rings?

My take on Tristan Ikaika rings

I don’t wear any rings, except my wedding ring. My wife and daughters do. My 17 year old even has a pair of Tristen Ikaika rings. When I asked if she had ever heard of this man, she said yes and held out her hand. She was wearing two of his rings. Apparently one of her friends is one of Tristen’s cult-like followers. My daughter finds her obsession funny, but she still loves the rings.

Tristen is going to sell a lot of his rings on show night. His website says to expect longer delivery times due to the “Shark Tank Craziness”. Although I am not a customer, I think Tristen is a good entrepreneur – he manages all the expectations. I participate.

Will Sharks Strike a Deal?

I’m pretty sure he’ll do a deal in the air. It might not close after that, but this kid is smart enough to know what it’s worth to make a deal over the air. That said, multiple Sharks could be interested. Lori, Mark and Daymond have already invested in jewelry companies so I’m not sure if they will bid due to conflict of interest.

That leaves Barbara and Kevin. Barbara is someone who sometimes clings to the entrepreneur rather than the product. Tristen has the kind of energy that makes her attracted to him. mr. Wonderful could put this into his wedding-related business. The product also lends itself to one of its royalty deals. Find a deal with Kevin.
