In the world of anime, few villains are as mysterious and powerful as All For One, the symbol of evil. He is the final character who stands at the end of the main characters’ journey, the monster who appears in their nightmares and the cause of countless deaths. Before Tomura Shigaraki became the acting leader of the League of Villains, All For One led the charge. This is because he was overpowered and defeated by his nemesis All Might in the Battle of Kamino District. He was imprisoned in Tartarus after the defeat, and remained there for seven months.
But All For One is still the strongest villain in all of Japan, and part of the reason he’s unthreatening is that an entire side of him is hidden. Despite his stature, he is over a hundred years old and his unique ability to collect and combine oddities. One of them must also have something along the lines of immortality. Now, let’s discuss the quirks we’re aware of.

Oddities we’ve seen
All For One’s first detailed look came from his battle with All Might. Let’s start by talking about the top ten that we deciphered from this, and other mishaps.
1. Improved Senses
All For One is, by all means, blind. His face is disfigured from the mouth upwards, giving him an appearance similar to what Voldemort would look like if he didn’t have eyes. He is made entirely of scar tissue from his previous loss to All Might. However, he is far from helpless. He is said to have the Infrared quirkiness, and it helps him sense the environment. Things are visible because of vibrations. Since losing his eyes, his ears are better than ever, and we never know if he has a super auditory quirk in there. But take that ability away, and he’s totally helpless.
2. Super strength
All Might was believed to have unparalleled strength, until All For One came to a halt. In fact, his strength was teased early on after All Might showed off the massive damage inflicted on the side of his stomach. He is easily able to trade blows with the former No. 1 Hero. He was believed to be stronger, and it was thanks to All Might that he received a long overdue strength nerf. All For One also has a quirk named strength enhancer, and it is available in three forms inside it. It can therefore cause 3 times more damage.
3. Improved Durability
All For One has more durability than any character we’ve seen on the show, and his quirks can be credited for that. He took a massive amount of punches from All Might and didn’t even flinch. During this time, All Might had broken bones and cried out in pain several times. If it hadn’t been for the United States of Peace Symbol Smash, All For One could have been taking hits all day. It also has a quirk named Impact recoilwhich reflects the attack it received, returns to the attacker.
4. All for one
It will be criminal not to mention his own quirk. After all, that ability led to where he is now and became his supervillain name. All For One is able to steal quirks from others and leave original users quirkless. He can use them as he wishes or pass them on to other people. However, it will not receive the same skill as the original users and is limited to some extent. Because of this, he steals those that require raw power and not those that take ages to master.
This helps him in combat, as well as in reconnaissance and surveillance missions. But there are downsides. All For One is unable to properly contain the quirks of newer generations, and this has become a cause for concern. Therefore, he decided to see the help of Dr. Garaki’s medical research. Another problem is that he gives nightmares to the people he stole quirks from and they insult him.
He is fast. All For One is extremely fast, as seen in the fight with All Might. There was also the moment when he completely destroyed the Nomu Factory and defeated 4 Pro Heroes without breaking a sweat. He is able to dodge the attacks of All Might and Edgeshot, the latter being able to transform faster than the speed of sound. Undoubtedly, this super speed is due to the multiple quirks inside him.
All For One is undoubtedly a genius. Rather than using his rare quirk to commit petty criminal activities, he created an entire evil empire. He was able to control Japan from the shadows for over a hundred years. People weren’t even aware of his presence until his quest to locate One For All began. Heroes who previously possessed One For All had died in fights related to All For One, making it a target of the Hero Association. He knows the who’s who of the country and constantly monitors them.
He is also good at identifying the flaws of his opponents. And most opponents are aware of emotional attacks. All For One has been known to taunt his opponents during fights, and he did this on All Might as well. He is aware that All Might is mourning the loss of his mentor Nana Shimura. He therefore insulted her during the fight and also revealed that Tomura Shigaraki was Nana’s grandson. This caused All Might to have mixed feelings about Tomura. Using this distraction, All For One launches a massive attack and causes All Might to lose his buff form. He then proceeds to mock him for his weak appearance.
It’s a valuable quirk he forcibly removed from Ragdoll of the Wild, Wild Pussycats. Search allows the user to observe and monitor up to a hundred people at the same time. This not only reveals their location, but also shows their weaknesses. He was able to combine this with Infrared against his fight with All Might.
8. Forced Quirk Activation
This is similar to Zeke Yeager’s ability to turn those who drank his spinal fluid into pure titans with just a scream. All For One is able to forcibly awaken a person’s quirk against their will. It doesn’t matter if they are awake or asleep for the process. He was able to combine this with another quirk named Rivet hit. Rivet Stab causes his fingers to turn into black tendrils which are also supposed to emerge from his spine. It can easily pierce bodies and has proven to be a much faster way to steal Quirks and cause Quirks to be forced activated.
9. Life Force
Life Force deserves a special mention, as it’s the main reason All For One haunts multiple generations. It was a special quirk done by Dr. Garaki and made All For One a supernatural being with massive life extension. Ignore the face, but the rest of his body gives off a seemingly youthful appearance, and that might be due to this quirk.
10. Lie Detector
The oddity’s official name hasn’t been given, but it’s something All For One acquired from an ancestor of Naomasa Tsukauchi. This allows him to sense when a person is lying, and also when someone has ill will within him. This leads him to hatch plans against those who plan to cross paths with him and to be wary of attacks.
Old quirks that deserve special mentions
The first quirk on this list is Energy storage. It allows the user to accumulate massive amounts of power within themselves. All For One forced it on his younger brother Yoichi, who he thought was quirkless. But Yoichi was actually able to transfer quirks to another person. Power Stockpiling combined with this Quirk and became One For All, the Quirk now found within Izuku Midoriya.
All For One also had a self-destruct quirk, which caused the user to explode in a massive explosion. He also had a bunch of unnamed quirks that could conduct electricity; those who had animal traits; those who give wings; and various strength enhancers. Most of the young heroes are believed to have powers that once belonged to All For One.
