The Resident Season 5 Episode 13 Recap

By going public, Billie was taking a risk. She wanted to testify before the medical board that Dr. Robert Porter raped her when she was a teenager and that she was a pedophile. But in doing so, she jeopardizes her own reputation as well as any future prospects she might have had she not spoken out. It was going to be aired. It had the potential to reach the media, and Billie hoped it would reach other victims as well. It would help her in the long run if she wasn’t the only one standing up to Porter. Everything had to happen quickly as Porter was to be named to the medical board, so Billie owes Bell a debt of gratitude for giving her the boost she felt was needed.

Bell was competing with Porter for a place on the health board. He went to Billie for a recommendation, and that’s when he mentioned Porter’s candidacy. The possibility of Porter being in charge of ethics complaints gave Billie the push she needed to finally come forward. But she hasn’t heard from him since. Bell said the other man was still in the running when she asked if Porter was still in the running. He also asked why he wouldn’t. Despite Billie claiming to have heard of the many violations against Porter, Bell became intrigued. He started asking around to see if there was any truth to what Billie had said.

Failed gender reveal

As Irving’s brother-in-law walked into the operating room, Bell was doing this. Jessica’s family was having a gender reveal party for their new baby, and they were using a real cannon that was supposedly modified to release blue or pink smoke when it flipped. He fired buckshot at the unsuspecting father, who got too close. Will had a collapsed lung when he arrived. It also doesn’t help that the incident was documented on social media, with everyone accusing him and his wife of being losers for announcing a baby in the first place. It is now widely considered stupid to have introduced the term โ€œgender normativeโ€.
