Drafted in 1983, Byron Scott was dropped in the midst of one of the greatest rivalries in sports history. Scott took the All-Rookie honor and was a key piece of the puzzle for three LA titles. The Lakers and Celtics were trading titles back and forth when Scott came along, but he immediately established himself on the Lakers roster and by his sophomore year was averaging 16 ppg. Scott was able to do this in a team with Magic Johnson, Kareem Abdul-Jabbar and James Worthy already taking the most shots.
