Super Junior’s Kyuhyun Tests Positive For COVID-19

Super Junior’s Kyuhyun has officially been diagnosed with COVID-19. Kyuhyun’s agency Label SJ revealed that on February 17, the K-pop idol took a PCR test, and the next day, which is today, it was confirmed that the star had been diagnosed with COVID-19. The agency further stated that idol Kyuhyun was fully vaccinated with all three doses of the COVID-19 vaccine. Currently, Kyuhyun is showing no alarming reactions and only showing mild symptoms such as fever. Afterwards, Kyuhyun ceased all activities and is currently self-isolating while taking all important measures according to health authorities.

As a precaution, the other Super Junior members who had come into contact with Kyuhyun also took the PCR test and luckily have, and for safety measures, they too are regularly checked and tested for COVID-19. Label SJ agency ended the note by saying that their artists’ attire is their top priority and they will never take any risks that could affect their artists’ health.

What had Kyuhyun been up to before being diagnosed with COVID-19?

Kyuhyun and the other Super Junior members were gearing up for their comeback with an album, The Road: Winter For Spring, which will be released on the last day of February, February 28. Members Siwon, Leeteuk, Ryeowook, Donghae, Heechul, Yesung, Kyuhyun, Eunhyuk and Shindong are participating in this upcoming album. Kyuhyun had also recently ended his Project: 季 series with the single Love Story on January 25, after releasing Coffee, Together and Moving On the previous year in 2021.

If Kyuhyun hadn’t tested positive for COVID-19 today, he could have attended the musical Frankenstein Day at the Bluesquare Theater. Kyuhyun from Super Junior and Leo from VIXX could have continued their musical where Leo from VIXX would play the role of Henry Dupre and Victor Frankenstein’s creature while Kyuhyun would play the role of Frankenstein himself! For now, all we can do is wish the best for Kyuhyun’s health!
