Storms Leave Thousands in Victoria Without Power, Emergency Services Respond to Flooding Incidents

Over 6,000 households in Victoria have lost power as storms swept through the area this afternoon. Emergency services are currently addressing flooding incidents in various locations, including in the suburb of Corio in Geelong where flash floods have caused damage to cars and businesses. The Victorian State Emergency Service reported receiving 114 calls for assistance, with 65 of them related to flooding. The hardest hit areas have been Corio and Geelong, while thunderstorms also hit Melbourne later in the evening.
