“The Glory” is a melodramatic thriller that sheds light on sensitive topics like school bullying, violence and revenge. The story follows a high school student who wants to become a successful architect. However, after being the victim of brutal violence at school, her dream was crushed when she dropped out of school. Years pass and the aggressor starts his own family and has a child who studies in an elementary school. Audiences expect a lot from the series, and it’s understandable to know that it was written by popular screenwriter Kim Eun Sook who penned the 2016 K-drama super hit ‘Descendants of the Sun’. Besides Song Hye Kyo, “The Glory” also stars Lee Do Hyun, Im Ji Yeon, Park Sung Hoon, and Shin Ye Eun in prominent roles. Lee Do Hyun has been confirmed to play the character of Joo Yeo Jung, who will aid Song Hye Kyo’s character in his quest for revenge. It is rumored to be released in the second half of 2022 and will consist of 8 episodes in all. Moreover, it will be a pre-produced drama and will be distributed by tvN in South Korea and Netflix internationally. On top of that, this latest Netflix venture will be a multi-seasonal K-drama, but the total number of seasons has yet to be confirmed.
