Shah Rukh Khan’s comeback in Bollywood must be one of the highly anticipated events of 2022 as his film Pathan is expected to hit theaters this year. The film is currently in the production phase and the most recent reports suggest that the team is now heading to Europe to shoot some key sequences for the film. Director Siddharth Anand had planned an international shooting schedule in October last year, but the dates had to be moved after Aryan Khan’s arrest.

For the inexperienced, Aryan was arrested on October 3, 2021 by the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) for alleged consumption and possession of illegal drugs. He was released on conditional bail after 22 days, but the Khan family was under intense scrutiny around that time. SRK has also stayed out of the limelight since then, limiting its social media presence as well.

It was previously confirmed that Shah Rukh Khan will make a comeback through Pathan from Yash Raj Films and will also have a small role in Salman Khan’s Tiger 3. According to the most recent Mid-Day report, the actor, along with his co stars Deepika Padukone and John Abraham, to complete an ongoing shooting schedule.

A source close to the development told the publication: “The director will be shooting a romantic song in Mallorca. He wants to capture the beauty of the island city famous for its pristine beaches and limestone mountains. It is the first international schedule of Pathan and Siddharth wants to pull out all the stops to make the sequences look big, he will also film high-octane action scenes with Shah Rukh, Deepika and John, and key confrontational sequences during the 17-day stint.Although the schedule was initially postponed in the wake of the Aryan case, the director had to postpone it further after the third wave of the pandemic hit India in the last week of December.”
