Actress Lacey Chabert, who voiced Meg Griffin on the first season of “Family Guy,” has signed an exclusive multiple-picture deal with Crown Media Family Networks.

The agreement gives the actress the authority to headline and produce films and other content for the Hallmark Channel and other Hallmark platforms for the next two years, variété.com reports.

Commenting on the occasion, Lisa Hamilton Daly, EVP of programming at Crown Media Family Networks, said in a statement accessible to “Variety”: “Lacey Chabert’s warmth, talent, recognizability and creative sensibilities have endeared her to millions of Hallmark- viewers for over a decade, making her one of our most requested stars.”

“In addition to starring on screen, Lacey Chabert is a prolific creative partner behind the scenes, developing and producing many of our most beloved projects of the highest quality. She naturally understands and embodies what our networks are about – the transformative power of love and make people feel good – and we look forward to continuing our work with her to create heartfelt, compelling stories that will entertain, inspire and touch our audience.” read the statement further.

Over the years, Lacey Chabert has become a Crown Media mainstay as she starred in several original Hallmark Channel and Hallmark Movies & Mysteries productions. Most recently, Chabert covered three profiles of the “Wedding Veil” film trilogy, where she worked as a developer, executive producer and also starred in the project.

The actress said in a statement, quoted by ‘Variety’: “My experience at Hallmark, where I have lived for over a decade now, has been wonderful and it has been well worth the effort to create characters and develop stories that are so strongly resonate with viewers.”

“I’m also incredibly grateful to the Crown programming team for supporting me as a producer and enabling me to develop and play with projects that bring my passion and creative vision to life. I’m so excited for what’s next and to continue connecting with Hallmark’s audience,” she added.
