Bushiroad move recently announced that the light novel series titled “Black Summoner” will be getting an anime adaptation. It’s been 6 years since the debut of the light novel and since then, the creators haven’t shared any word about the plans for it. However, a good isekai anime is something that always ranks high and is loved by people.

The Black Summoner light novel and manga have already received a lot of popularity and now is the right time to adapt them into an anime. The light novel Black Summoner by Doufu Mayoi and illustrated by Kurogin was published by Overlap publications. A digital print of the same was released by J-Novel Club alongside the original light novel. Both prints debuted on June 25, 2016, and are still being added to the 15-volume collection. The light novel is an adaptation of the original novel series by the same author which was released on October 6, 2014. Whether novel, light novel or manga, the plot of Black Summoner has been loved in all forms, the same is expected from the upcoming anime series.

About the Dark Summoner

After the release of the Light Novel series, a manga adaptation of Black Summoner was released. The manga followed the same plot but this time was illustrated by Gin Ammo. It was published by Overlap Publications, and like the light novel, its digital print was published by J-Novel Club. The manga was serialized in Comic Gardo Magazine and released on January 11, 2018. It is still ongoing and so far has been collected into 11 tankobon volumes. The anime adaptation of the series is highly anticipated and has now become possible. The plot of the upcoming animes will follow the original manga light novel plot. Its plot is a definition of classic isekai and revolves around a protagonist who is reincarnated or sent to a new fantasy world. Something similar is also going to happen in this series keeping the protagonist Kelvin at the center.

As he leaves a not very happy life, Kelvin wakes up one day in a strange place that is surprisingly new to him. Things really hit him when he was brought up that he doesn’t remember anything from his past life. Neither his belongings nor the memories of events related to his previous life remain intact. This is the result of sacrificing his memories to him in exchange for superhuman abilities. He now lacks memories from before his rebirth but has powerful new abilities. In the new world, he began to live a summoner’s life, his followers being the goddess who brought him to this world. As he began his adventurous life, he discovered his battle-obsessed inner self.
