Kruti said, “Dholida has been an amazing divine experience. I grew up watching SLB sir movies and the songs have always attracted me. It was a blessing for me to have choreographed for an entire SLB movie. Every time I work with him I learn from Mr.”
Kruti Mahesh further added: ‘The first thing Sanjay sir said was that it should be Gangu’s Garba, authentic to the dance form yet shed light on Gangu’s madness. I’m happy with how the song came out because the trance we saw on screen through Alia was not just her, but a team effort and the presence of something utterly divine.”
Sharing her experience working with Alia Bhatt, the choreographer said: “Alia is an amazing person. My team, along with the dancers, the costume team, the camera team, have really brought together what I can proudly call a masterpiece. Special mention to the permanent cameraman, who captured the last shot extremely well.”
Kruti Mahesh previously choreographed Deepika Padukone’s ‘Ghoomar’, ‘Ek Dil Ek Jaan and ‘Holi’ in ‘Padmaavat’ and ‘Garmi’ from ‘Street Dancer’ to name a few.
‘Gangubai Kathiawadi’ hits theaters on February 25.
