Koimoi 2021 Public Poll: The film industry has been through a lot in 2021 when the second Covid wave and regular Covid peaks disrupted the film calendar. Fortunately, films like Akshay Kumar’s Sooryavanshi, Allu Arjun’s Pushpa and others have successfully passed the year. But before the film hit the screen, they struck the right note with intriguing trailers. Let’s take a look at trailers (movies) that impressed us the most!

Let’s take a look at the nominees for the Best Trailers (Movies) category of 2021:

Sooryavanshi

Sooryavanshi’s trailer was very long, lasting 4 minutes and 15 seconds. With so much anticipation in the air, the creators tried to please the viewers by giving something extra than usual. It has a lot of action, comedy, emotions and of course Ajay Devgns Singham and Ranveer Singhs Simmba. Along with Rohit Shetty’s signature action, background music was one of the main highlights.

Pushpa (Hindi)

Pushpa’s Hindi trailer was delayed by a day, but it doesn’t matter because it did wonders to the masses! It is a full show of Allu Arjun. Without providing any major insights, the trailer left fans guessing about characters, including Allu’s. As expected, BGM did justice to the greatness of the film.

Sardar Udham

Starring Vicky Kaushal, the Sardar Udham trailer gave us a hair-raising experience. Not cheeky, but the promo will make you feel insane without giving too much substance. Sharp, sharply worked are some of the words we can use to describe it!

83

Like Sooryavanshi, 83 also had a long delay to appear on the screens. With multiple postponements, there’s always a fear that the movie could lose its hype. But the trailer managed to keep the buzz alive, in fact it raised the bar for excitement. Whether it was Ranveer Singh’s natural performance as Kapil Dev or the emotions of the Indian cricket team going through hurdles during the 1983 World Cup, the trailer was a good package for viewers.

Atrangi Re

Like the title, Arangi Re’s trailer is weird yet interesting. Dhanush, a naive man, is kidnapped and forced to marry Sara Ali Khan, who refuses to tie the knot. The duo decides to split up after a few days of marriage. The twist comes when she falls in love with him and her longtime lover, Akshay Kumar, enters the scene. She wants them both, but will it happen? All this sums up the exciting trailer of Arangi Re.

Chandigarh Kare Aashiqui

The trailer of Chandigarh Kare Aashiqui was one of the most entertaining of 2021. Starring Ayushmann Khurrana and Vaani Kapoor, the trailer is a perfect mix of emotion and fun, as we see in most of Ayushmann’s films. It’s a refreshing take on LGBTQ+ taboo love stories.

Shershaah

Shershaah starring Sidharth Malhotra is based on the life of Param Vir Chakra award winner Captain Vikram Batra. Without going over the board, the trailer perfectly balances different emotions. With a dose of courage, love and some great one-liners, it’s one of the most subtle trailers of recent times.
