’83’ director Kabir Khan recalls his work experience and how the film received praise for showcasing one of India’s greatest sports achievements.

This film about cricket highlighted that India won the coveted 1983 World Cup under the leadership of Kapil Dev played by Ranveer Singh.

Recently, director Kabir Khan was invited by the University of Warwick, UK to talk to the students about what was behind the creation of ’83’.

Kabir Khan said: “’83’ is one of those once-in-a-lifetime experiences and I couldn’t be happier with the love and appreciation it continues to receive around the world. ’83’ celebrates an iconic moment in history and I look forward to speaking about the film with the students at the prestigious Warwick University. I have always enjoyed talking to students because I can speak straight from the heart.”

Kabir Khan added: “I have received hundreds of messages from students around the world asking about the process of recreating a historic moment like ’83’ with such attention to detail. I am really looking forward to this interaction.”
