Shweta Tiwari has been in turmoil since clips from her latest press conference went viral on social media. The actress promoted her upcoming web show with Sourabh Raaj Jain, Digangana Suryavanshi and others in Bhopal.

The web show will see Sourabh Raaj Jain in the role of a bra fitter. During a media interaction, the actor was asked how he played the role of a god in Mahabharat so far where he plays such a controversial character. At this Shweta Tiwari interrupted him and said: ‘Only bh kamaat bhagwan le rahe hai.’

This comment caused a stir across the country. In parts of the country, FIRs are filed and posters are burned. In response to all this, Shweta Tiwari has now publicly apologized. Her statement began: “I have noticed that a particular statement of mine referring to a colleague’s previous role has been taken out of context and misconstrued. When placed in context, it will be understood that the statement regarding ‘Bhagwan’ was related to Sourabh Raaj Jain’s popular role as a deity. People associate character names with actors, so I used that as an example during my conversation with the media.”

Shweta Tiwari continued: “However, it has been completely misinterpreted, which is sad to see. As one who has been an ardent devotee of ‘Bhagwan’ myself, there is no way I would intentionally or unintentionally say or do such a thing as would generally hurt feelings.”

“However, I have come to understand that when taken out of context, it has unintentionally hurt people’s feelings. Rest assured that it was never my intention to hurt anyone, with my words or actions. I humbly apologize for the pain my statement has inadvertently caused many people,” concluded Shweta Tiwari.
