The episode kicks off with Parker Schnabel having just returned from Alaska, he is eager and happy because he has managed to extract gold from the mountain of mud with Mitch Blaschke. He operates the heavy machinery as he shares the latest news from his days there. Plus, Parker just opened up three 19-acre cuts called “Bon”, “Bad” and “Ugly” and he’s here to see what’s up with that. It will take three weeks for the bad cut to move as fast as possible with the machines running at full throttle all the time.

Tyson is stuck

With all the machines stuck at Mud Mountain, Tyson has to move the factory with his huge Model 480 excavator, but he’s running out of space. And he’s suddenly stuck between a rock and a hard place. He steps over the edge, deploys the shovel and sets up the massive 53-foot conveyor. And just like that, he and his three-man crew are ready to start chasing the scoops. Luckily, they manage to get the job done. He and his team are used to working with rare equipment in difficult conditions. And in no time, they manage to assemble all the machinery to process all that filth to dredge it up and find the precious metal they so crave. Everyone is optimistic that the goals will be met by the end of the contract and they will end up with a big pot of gold to show off.

Fred’s Crew

Fred’s crew has just succeeded in extracting 45 ounces of gold out of the 100 ounces promised to his claim owners who are pressing him. To start, Fred dug more than 500 meters in search of gold, but thanks to bad weather, the settling water from the berm could spill into the creek. And if that happens, he will be fined and his operation will be shut down. He therefore has no choice but to close his factory. And start working on the contingency. With great difficulty, they manage to cope with this problem and turn the pump on. And it’s just in time because he’s 48 hours away from paying his owners. But that’s not the end of Fred’s troubles, he had to send Cara on a trip. And he’s very short of gold to cover fuel costs.
