Euphoria star Sydney Sweeney recently revealed that her toe was broken while filming the second season. The show has become huge, especially after the release of season two. The directing, the story, the execution, the cinematography and even the cast have stolen the spotlight. In addition to Sweeney, there are Zendaya, Hunter Schafer, Jacob Elordi, Alexa Demie, Angus Cloud and many more talented actors starring.
The story captures childhood as she roams around a drug-addicted teen named Rue (played by the Spider-Man actress) and how she copes with her mental struggles, relationships, and friendships with people in her life. While Sweeney plays the part of Cassie who is also an integral part of the show.
Recently, when the cast of Euphoria went around to talk about the show following its successful season two launch, Sydney Sweeney revealed that she spent the end of filming in the emergency room while appearing on The Late Late Show with James Corden.
“Well…I got kicked on the toe during filming and it just exploded. That’s how I ended up in the ER. And then I showed up, and I got a lot of morphine. [The cast] was like ‘We’ve never seen you like this,’ said Sydney Sweeney. While the Euphoria star didn’t directly share who the person was behind stepping on her toe, Corden was able to find out when Sweeney teased about it.
It turns out that Alexa Demie, aka Maddy, was not aware of this. Sweeney also recently opened up about doing the n*des scenes on the show. She revealed that she had asked Sam Levinson, the series’ creator, to delete some of her topless scenes.
Speaking to The Independent about doing n*th scenes in Euphoria, Sydney Sweeney added: “I’ve had experiences where I wanted to go home and scrub myself all rough because I feel disgusting. I didn’t feel comfortable with my castmate or the crew, and I just didn’t feel like my character would do it.”
