Dragon’s Den Season 19 Episode 8 Release Date: Will A Dog-Friendly Business Grab Dragon’s Attention?

The Dragons raise their heads once again for another round in the Den, and this time they’re joined by a new face. As a slew of hopefuls scramble to secure critical capital for new ventures, investors will once again be looking for smart places to put their money.

There will undoubtedly be major successes and plenty of misfires, with seasoned businessmen unwilling to take chances with their judgments. Levi Roots and his Reggae Reggae Sauce, for example, have received money from the show in the past, which has allowed them to expand their business.

As more and more emerging entrepreneurs apply for funding in their businesses, Dragon’s Den returns for its 19th season with a new face among the panel of investors. Steven Bartlett, a rookie on the Dragons’ Den panel, is the youngest investor ever. Steven is said to have amassed a fortune of £300million through social media marketing organization Social Chain, which he co-founded when he was 20.

Steven will replace Tej Lalvani in the next series of the BBC1 commercial show, which first aired on BBC2 in 2005, and will be joined by fellow Dragons Peter Jones, Touker Suleyman, Deborah Meaden and Sara Davies from Strictly Come Dancing 2021.

Annie Mitchell, an American entrepreneur, was the first to pitch, asking £80,000 for a 2% stake in her Bottle shot Cold Brew Coffee. Cold brew coffee is quickly becoming the favorite coffee drink, with many brick-and-mortar retailers carrying it. Annie zealously approached the lair, hoping to catch her favorite dragon, Peter Jones. The Dragons were surprised by the unusual moniker and were clearly hoping to blow their socks off, but they weren’t impressed with the flavor.

The Dragons began roasting the contractors cold coffee and declared themselves eliminated. Annie, on the other hand, was able to convince and secure the Dragon of her dreams. Peter Jones saved the day by offering the entire sum in exchange for a 10% stake which would be reduced to 5% after 12 months if his money was returned.

Business partners Vahid and Thibault were next in the den, offering an alternative to single-use plastic. This caught the attention of local eco-warrior Deborah Meaden, who expressed immediate interest in their proposal. The couple wanted $150,000 for a 7.5% stake in their business.

The contractors claimed they had exclusive licensing rights in the UK and had a 10-year deal with an Indonesian company… but couldn’t agree on the terms. It was a red flag for Steven Bartlett, the Den’s new Dragon, who quickly declared himself eliminated. Unfortunately, the other Dragons’ alarm bells also started ringing, and they soon followed Steven. Vahid and Thibault were unable to capture a Dragon and were forced to leave empty-handed.
