On the evening of February 15, Big Hit Music announced that BTS dancer and lead singer Kim Taehyung had tested positive for COVID-19. The entertainment agency said V checked himself into the hospital on Tuesday, that is today, after experiencing a mild fever and a sore throat. After taking a PCR test, it was confirmed that he had been diagnosed with the virus. The company went further and said the K-pop star had received both doses of the COVID-19 vaccine and had no alarming symptoms.
The BTS member will undergo treatment at his home and will also await further guidance from health authorities. BTS’s agency revealed that the boy band members met on February 12, Saturday, but they all wore masks and there was no close contact between the members. On top of that, as a precaution, the other BTS members tested negative after performing a self-test. Big Hit Music ended the notes by saying that their artists’ health is their top priority and that they will do everything in their power for V’s treatment.
