Bruno Mars and Anderson .Paak are coming to Fortnite

‘s celebrities FortniteBattle Royale continues to grow and the game adds two more musical stars in the form of Bruno Mars and Anderson .Paak. The duo, performing together under the name Silk Sonic, will be available in the Fortnite item shop from February 10. (Though players will have the chance to get them early via an in-game tournament on February 7.)

While the game is known for mixing pop culture worlds from Marvel, Star Wars, and elsewhere, real-life celebrities are also some of its most popular characters. That includes athletes like LeBron James and Neymar, streamers like Bugha and Ninja, and other musicians like Marshmello and Ariana Grande. This isn’t the first time Silk Sonic’s members have appeared in the game either; Mars has its own Fortnite emote, while .Paak was part of a virtual concert series in 2020. Beyond the new fighters and associated equipment, Fortnite also gets a new in-game radio station called Icon Radio, which will of course feature tunes from the musical duo.

It’s a particularly busy time for Epic’s Battle Royale. Since the game started its final chapter last year, there have been new additions such as crazy dinosaurs and classic locations, and earlier today a character played by Dwayne Johnson was unlocked for those who bought this season’s battle pass. Fortnite even hosted a recent virtual art exhibition.
