Bollywood actress Bhumi Pednekar talks about shooting abroad and how hard it was to ride a scooter for Badhaai Do in Mussoorie on The Kapil Sharma Show.
The actress tells how in her six years in the industry she has never shot for a film outside India and that shooting for Badhaai Do in Mussoorie was nothing short of an adventure.
Bhumi reveals that they shot for Badhaai Do in Dehradun and Mussoorie, and a bit in Goa.
Actress Archana Puran Singh said that although her hometown is Dehradun, she has never been there to shoot for anything, to which Bhumi Pednekar replies, “You shot abroad, didn’t you? Do you know my story? From the moment I started my career I’ve never shot outside of India once! I always think, ‘Okay, if the location is London, I’ll say yes without reading the script.’ There isn’t a district in India where I haven’t shot for a movie.”
She also adds that she rode a scooter for the first time while filming ‘Badhai Do’.
“Before every take, the atmosphere would be tense and people would say, ‘Everybody get off the roads! Are all roads blocked!? She could crash the scooter, everyone be careful.’”
Bhumi Pednekar shares that director Harshvardhan Kulkarni would choose the hardest roads for her to ride the scooter: “My director was such that he would choose the hardest roads with a big slope and he would take distances and I would ride badly. I liked it quite an adventure.”
