We woke up today to heartbreaking news of the passing of legendary musician-singer Bappi Lahiri. He was 69 years old. Bappi da was known for popularizing Disco in Bollywood and releasing several evergreen songs.

Just a few days ago we saw the legendary singer Lata Mangeshkar leave us. Now another iconic personality from the Indian music industry has passed away, leaving a great void. Bappi Da was reportedly released on Monday after being in hospital for a month. Unfortunately, his health deteriorated after returning home.

Speaking of the death of Bappi Lahiri, Dr. Deepak Namjoshi, director of CritiCare Hospital (where Bappi da took his last breath): “Lahiri was hospitalized for a month and was released on Monday. But his health deteriorated on Tuesday and his family called for a doctor to visit their home. He has been taken to hospital. He had several health problems. He died of OSA (obstructive sleep apnea) shortly before midnight, according to PTI.

Bappi Lahiri was a well-known personality even outside of India. He has always given green hits like Tamma Tamma, Gori Hai Kalaiyan, Disco Dancer and many more. His last song was Bhankas from Baaghi 3.
