There has been a lot of discussion about Gangubai’s casting. Many felt that Alia was too young to fit the character. Many even talked about how Kangana or someone like Vidya Balan would have been suitable for the role. Well, if nothing else, the queen actress agrees to the casting part.
Kangana Ranaut took to her Instagram stories and criticized Alia Bhatt and Sanjay Leela Bhansali. She wrote: “This Friday 200 crores will be burned to ashes at the box office… For a papa (movie mafia dad) ki Pari (who likes to hold a british passport). Because papa wants to prove that romcom can act bimbo… biggest drawback of the film is wrong casting…”
Kangana Ranaut added: ‘Ye nahi sudhrenge. No wonder there are screens going to South and Hollywood movies. Bollywood is destined to be doom jab tak movie mafia has power.”
It seems Kangana refers to father Mahesh Bhatt as the ‘movie mafia daddy’. For the inexperienced, Alia Bhatt once revealed that she did not vote in elections because she possessed a British passport. She also promised dual citizenship, but that concept is not yet welcomed in India.

Well, only time will tell if Alia Bhatt star Gangubai Kathiawadi is a hit or miss at the box office.
Do you agree with Kangana Ranaut that Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s director’s casting choice is wrong?
