About preponderance of identified Breathing Styles imitates a natural element, such as flame, water, or wind, using the user’s motions, methods, and talents to do so. Breathing Styles like this represent a wider range of themes, including animals, plants, and feelings. Practitioners see themselves controlling their Breathing Style, attempting to appear as if they were employing magic, albeit those who are less adept and competent in a particular style will visualize less than someone who is.

1. Beast Breathing
Beast Breathing is a technique that is related to Wind Breathing but not identical to it. It simulates the impulsive, fierce, and wild character of Beasts/wild creatures, encompassing their motions, attacks, and senses only with the user’s motions, methods, and skills. However, one of them uses the tremendous sensation of touch to recreate an animal’s primordial senses. The majority, maybe not all, conventional methods and shapes are basic, uncomplicated but wild, spontaneous, and animalistic motions and assaults. When using Beast Breathing methods, users picture themselves as a savage beast with fangs and claw slashes. Because Inosuke Hashibira developed this Breathing Style after surviving in the mountains and striving for life, it’s safe to presume it could only be used by somebody who wields dual Nichirin katanas and has a keen sense of touch.

3. Water Breathing
Water Breathing is among the five basic Breathing Styles in Demon Slayer that may be traced back to Sun Breathing. Water Breathing is a Breathing Technique that essentially imitates water, especially the liquid’s flow, and suppleness, using the user’s motions, methods, and talents. The user bends their body, arm, as well as a weapon in a fluid movement to complement the mobility of rushing or flowing water among most, though not all, known techniques. Whilst using the program’s methods, users may also observe themselves making and controlling water.
This Breathing Style was developed by one of Yoriichi Tsugikuni’s students who intended to grasp Sun Breathing but rather were instructed and skilled in a substitute personalized Breathing Style that concentrated on their strengths and limitations ultimately becoming Water Breathing, due to never being as inherently skilled as Yoriichi. Because it is the simplest to master for novices, it is claimed to become the most frequent Breathing Styles amongst Demon Slayers. Sakonji Urokodaki is a recognized Cultivator of Water Breathing in the Demon Slayer Corps. However, there are other Cultivators too.

The Breathing Style was developed by one of Yoriichi Tsugikuni’s students who repeatedly tried to learn Sun Breathing and were unable to grasp it owing to a lack of innate power. Simply put, their instructor told them an additional personalized Breathing Style that solely focused on one’s advantages and disadvantages, ultimately diversifying out entirely and becoming Stone Breathing. Stone Breathing could only be utilized with a flail and/or ax, according to the specific user in the manga, Gyomei Himejima. Nevertheless, the ancestor of Stone Breathing is shown holding a massive Kusarigama-like weapon in Kokushibo’s reminiscence.

7. Mist Breathing
Mist Breathing is a type of breathing that evolved from wind breathing. Mist Breathing is a Breathing Method that allows the user’s motions, methods, and skills to simulate mist, particularly the vagueness of mist. The majority, although not all, known techniques and patterns involve quick attacks and movements carried out in a certain rhythm that obfuscates the opponent’s perceptions and environment as if the battleground were shrouded in mist. When using Mist Breathing methods, users experience themselves as though they are producing and controlling mist. Certain other practitioners would also have to dress modestly that conceals their limbs from their adversary to adequately explore the possibilities of this Breathing Style, predicated on Muichiro Tokito, Mist Breathing’s primary acknowledged user, who prefers loose garments that conceal his arms and legs to obscure his movements.
Mist Breathing has six known forms and methods, with a seventh devised and used solely by Muichiro Tokito, the current Mist Hashira. In the First Form: Distant Haze, Low Clouds, the user launches a tremendous thrust assault in front of them. In Second Form: Eight-Layer Mist, the user releases eight forward slashes in rapid succession, each one against the top of the other. The user produces a strong circular slash next to them that may be utilized to blow away projectiles in the third form, Scattering Mist Splash. In Fourth Form: Shifting Flow Slash, the user rapidly unsheathes their sword and sprints blindingly at their opponent, delivering a fast slash from underneath them. This technique has a strong resemblance to Iaijutsu.
In Fifth Form: Haze and a Sea of Clouds, the user runs forward at a quick rate, unleashing a barrage of slashes that span a large area and obscure their motions. In Lunar Dispersing Mist, 6th Form, Backflipping into the air whilst upside down, the user unleashes a barrage of ranged slashes that may decimate dozens of opponents at once. Obscuring Clouds, Seventh Form is Muichiro Tokito’s own invention. A method wherein the user dramatically alters their movement pace to confuse their opponent, which seems like clouds of mist encompassing a large region. The person’s pace appears to be exceedingly slow when they expose themselves; however, when they conceal, the user is moving in a single glance.

When using Flower Breathing’s methods, users envision themselves as though they are making and controlling flowers. Flower Breathing contains at least seven methods, five of which are known, along with the Ultimate Form.
The user launches many circling sword slashes that block oncoming physical strikes in the second form, Honorable Shadow Plum. The user launches a single sword stroke that bends and twists smoothly in the fourth form, Crimson Hanagoromo. The user fires a flurry of nine successive assaults that swirl and twist in on themselves in the Fifth Form: Peonies of Futility. Sixth Form: Whirling Peach, A method in which the user rotates around while changing their body weight to execute a strike after or during evasion.
Equinoctial Vermilion Eye, the final form, uses a concentration method that increases the user’s kinetic vision to its greatest level. The user views the world in slow-mo when employing this technique. Nevertheless, using the technique is extremely risky since the extreme pressure on the eyes can lead blood vessels to burst, resulting in partial or full blindness. Even though the user only has one completely functional eye, this approach can still be used.
9. Wind Breathing

When using Wind Breathing methods, users feel as though they are producing and influencing wind. Such Breathing Style is also strikingly similar to Jigen-ryū, a sword-wielding technique that stresses the initial strike and lofty poses in the everyday world. This Breathing Style has been inspired by one of Yoriichi Tsugikuni’s students who repeatedly tried to understand Sun Breathing but rather were instructed a substitute personalized Breathing Style that concentrated on their individual skills, which later morphed into Wind Breathing, given the fact that they had been not as intrinsically effective as Yoriichi.
10. Sound Breathing

Sound Breathing is a Breathing Style that uses the user’s motions, methods, and talents to emulate the sound, particularly its disorienting loudness. The majority, though not all, recognized techniques and styles employ explosives to deliver large quantities of harm while utilizing incredibly quick movements, analogous to how energy waves and the user’s sound. Tengen Uzui, the sole known user, employs a method called Musical Score that he invented utilizing his superhuman hearing. Tengen reads his competitors’ actions and deconstructs them into sound by studying the pattern of their motions.
By hitting in a manner comparable to generating the rhythm to a song, he is able to reap the benefits of their opportunities to much better impact. In addition, he employs small yet strong anti-demon bombs capable of causing damage to the bodies of Upper-Rank demons. Because this fighting technique was designed by Tengen, it could only be performed with a special set of weapons: two massive nunchuck-like Nichirin Cleavers with a groove in the beveled edges of their blades and a metal chain connecting them at the hilt.
